With our near perfect weather it is a great place to enjoy the great outdoors. Spend a lazy afternoon dangling a line, hoping to land that elusive "father of all fish". Or perhaps you are more the energetic type who would enjoy the challenge of a game of golf on the par 73, championship course. If golf isn't your forte, perhaps picking up a racquet for a friendly game of tennis on one of the 14 magnificent grass courts is more your style. For a more leisurely pace, a choice of 5 lawn bowls greens available for use all year round. Or maybe just relax beside a pool and enjoy a weekend away.

The Barham & District Services Memorial Club (BDSMC) proudly owns the cluBarham Motel located directly opposite the Services Club. With the purchase of the Barham Golf Resort on course, we now offer fantastic Golf, Conference, Entertainment and Getaway packages. The Barham & District Services Memorial Club has become one of the most popular destinations in the central Murray region, it has been recognised by industry peers, winning and being a finalist in the New South Wales Club of the Year Awards, particularly for outstanding service to the community.

Barham was first settled in the 1840's and was very isolated until the arrival of steam boats in 1853. These boats played an integral part in the early development of Barham with Saw Mills and the Flour Mill all plying their trade up and down the river until the railway opened from Koondrook to Kerang in 1889. The punt over the river began carrying stock, grain, wool and essential food supplies between New South Wales and Victoria in 1884 and continued until 1904. When the Bridge was opened in 1904 Barham and Koondrook started to grow together.
